WLC is dedicated to making sure that all coaches conduct themselves properly during games and practices. All coaches will sign a WLC Code of Conduct.
All coaches and any other volunteer working with the players must complete PA clearances: PA Child Abuse History; PA State Police Criminal History; and FBI Criminal History (if applicable) or the Disclosure Statement (see below) . Clearances are good for 60 months. Click here to apply for clearances.
Volunteers who are not required to obtain the FBI Clearance because they are applying for an unpaid position and have been a continuous resident of Pennsylvania for the past 10 years must swear or affirm in writing that they are not disqualified from service based upon a conviction of an offense under §6344. Click here for the Disclosure Statement.
All coaches and any other volunteer who will be on the field at any time must have a current USA Lacrosse Membership (Involvement Type: Coach; Program Affiliation: Warrior Lacrosse Club). A coaching membership includes passing a national background check and Abuse Prevention Training every other year.
Abuse Prevention Training is paid for by your USA Lacrosse Membership and replaces Safesport Training that was required in the past. Plan for two (2) hours of training for the initial Abuse Prevention Training, which all new coaches have to complete.
Boy coaches may need to sign a YCLA Code of Conduct each season.
Please submit Clearance documentation to: WLCclearances@gmail.com
